Also, before you order The Police Academy box set, here's another warning:

"This box set contains some traces of Steve Guttenberg, do not expose to small children or the elderly, Long time exposure may cause irritation in eyes and ears. Slight sickness may occur if watched in conjunction with Short Circuit, Three Men and a Baby or its sequel

but seriously, that does suck that WB is going all P&S on a few films, Full frame is a terrible thing and i wouldn't wish it on anyone - not even a Police Academy fan

Read it a little closer.

All the titles (except for two of the films) are "Matted". Meaning, they just have black bars covering part of the frame. No P&S involved.

Get yourself some black electrical tape and make your own letterboxing for it.

I don't know if I should admit it, but I have #5 on laserdisc. Don't know why I have it and I've never watched it. Anyway, it was also released fullframe. Never letterboxed in any format.

The first six titles of the Police Academy series were all filmed in a 1.37:1 aspect ratio. Part seven was filmed in 1.85:1.

The two fullframe ones should be open matte.

Not so bad.

I might get this I might not... I'm having the same debate with the Vacation set. One part of me loves box sets, the other part of me knows that Vacation, Christmas Vacation, and Police Academy are the only three movies I like.

Anyway, HERE is the box art...

I like the first three PA movies, so I may pick this up if I find it cheap.

Interesting to see if they come differently packaged than the seperate editions.

Maybe this is a digi-pak - in which case it could be a little too thick?!
