Friends Season 7

From DVDAnswers:

Quote:
This four disc package will be available to own from the 6th April this year, and should set you back somewhere in the region of $44.98. Each of the episodes will be presented in 4:3 full screen. Extras will include a producer's commentary on three episodes, a Friends of Friends Part II video guest book feature, Monica's Wedding Book Challenge game and a gag reel. Oh, and Gunther will spill the beans about the next season again.
This season is where the show starts to get really bad. Season 8 is not too bad though...

I really wanna chime in and say I like the packaging of Friends on DVD.

I only have three seasons (1, 2, & 5) as I have been picking them up at strategic pricing but if they are all set up like season 1 packaging/menus, it makes it quite attractive.

I love the 6 stills on each of the covers showing the Friends from that year. It's fun to compare them from say season 1 to season 5.

I agree, Warner did a great job putting together nice packaging for Friends. If I were to complain about anything, it would be that there are no chapter stops in the episodes. They don't have to be named, but just something to skip the song. Thats just a small gripe though.

Now that the prices are dramatically lower than when Season 1 came out ($69.99) It really is a great all around series to collect.

Too bad that studios like Fox won't drop the prices on The X-Files or Paramount with ST:TNG. They are absurdly high.

The most I would want to pay for a single season of anything would be $50 for say Forever Knight. I think that kind of material justifies the higher price tag, because they know less people are interested.

I doubt I'll continue to collect the series after season six, as the general comedic pace began to slacken, and all of the actors began to age horribly (what's up with Matthew Perry's year-round sunburn for, like, the last four years? Lay off the damn tanning bed!). Watching the show in it's current, final season is just painful. Those early episodes are still classics, though. "Ew, ew, ew! Ugly Naked Guy got a thighmaster!"

This season did have a hilarious episode when Ross's cousin comes and visits him.

Jason Alexander's episode is on this season too which was decent.

I am probably alone here, but I really liked Friends its first season and haven't cared for it since. I felt the show took a tonal shift in comedy and I just never found it the same, or as funny. I know I am in the minority here.

one thing that i am really thankful for with the DVD versions of the show is that there are no "fade to black" comercial breaks in them and they just play through like a movie would. some of the other studios should take a hint from Warner Bros. and think about doing the same thing. i hate it when i'm watching any other show on DVD and it just fades to black and the back to the show...

Well you not alone, i was a "friends fan" for sure in the first 2 seasons, and then i continued to watch it for season 3 and 4 out of pity

But by season 5 i just got so sick of the show, i've caught maybe 5 episodes in the last 4 seasons, but the show is just not funny anymore

i was so glad when other networks started to put good shows up against it, CBS gave us the first few survivors and the last one (the only good ones) and FOX gave us the brilliant "family guy"

I will be glad when the show is gone

I guess I have to dissent and chime in with the fact that I've been enjoying collecting the seasons as they come out and I actually still do find the show pretty funny. Last season wasn't very good, I'll admit that, but overall I still find it enjoyable and worthwhile. Right now I'm still working my way through Season Five, which came out last month, and it's really good. Eventually, I'm sure I'll have them all.

I don't really know what good it does sit and wait to be glad when the show is gone. If you don't think it's funny anymore, don't watch it. It's not like your life will be better because Friends is gone. Let me tell you, it will never be gone, it's rerun 5 times an evening on the Superstation and in syndication.

I'm really not familiar with what episodes happened in which season. I never watch the show on Thursday nights, just catch repeats now and then. I've been buying the box sets, and so far love them all, so I'll continue buying.

For me, it would be that, and the absence of the "I'll Be There For You" music video with the cast on ANY of the sets.

And how about a commentary with the cast on at least ONE episode per season?

Other than those issues, I'm content with the season sets.
