Eh... I'll stick with my cheapo original disc.

Does anyone remember that at the time of this release, four odd things were occurring:

1. Rosie O'Donnell was considered a hot, up-and-coming new voice in comedy.
2. Madonna was at the top of her game and had unlimited power in cinema.
3. Lori Petty was considered a sexy young ingenue.
4. Tom Hanks was considered washed up and his career over.

One of those films I assume will not be as good as I remember it being... happening a lot these days... still, I'll pick it up...

I don't own this movie yet, so a SE would be a no-brainer purchase for me. This is one of my favorite baseball movies, and maybe my favorite Jon Lovitz film.

Where did you hear this great news outofmejedi? Thanks.

I love baseball and i like the film as well. I might consider purchasing this down the road. It wasn't a great movie but decent one. The extras aren't too bad i guess either.

I figured this was coming. I've been eyeballing the current edition at Target for a while-glad I didn't bite.

I'm with you Lars...I'll just keep my el-cheapo disc....until my wife spots the SE and forces me to buy it (it's one of her favorites).

Dang! I was hoping for that mega pan and scan version on this release...

I can't even watch this movie on cable its so bad.

I always use this movie as an example of how those black bars aren't so annoying after all.

Me too! Its the worst looking pan and scan movie I've ever seen. The really scary thing is when I try to show people the scanning and they can't see it.

One of the MANY things that love about my wife is that she picked up on the problems of pan and scan right away when we started dating.

Now she cringes just as much as me when she sees it.

Great things I like about the cover:
  • the baseball diamond
  • the heads aren't big
  • no Rosie O'Donnell
