Hamlet (Mel Gibson) NOT IN STORES?

I had a difficult time finding this DVD on Tuesday. BestBuy is not stocking it or Suncoast. I finally found one at a local Barnes & Noble. Anyone else have a problem finding it?

Hmmm...Didn't see this at any of the cheaper outlets either (Bestbuy, Walmart, Target) and my online purchase experiences have been less than stellar lately. I did see this at an independent CD / DVD store, but balked at the 18.99 price. I guess I will stop back in today and pick it up though.

I've seen it but didnt pick it up...Just not interested in seeing Mel Gibson doing "Hamlet", but I am going to pick up "Richard III" by Criterion.

Actually, the Mel Gibson Hamlet is quite good. Until the Kenneth Branaugh version comes out (Or Rosencrantz and Guildenstern "Bob" willing), that is the version I most enjoy. Go figure.

I would pick up the Pacino disc when it comes out, but until then I'm sticking to Lawrence Olivier and Richard Burton interpretations. They are hard to beat !

You know, I've never seen the Burton. Is it a filmed stage production or a movie. I loved Olivier's Richard III and Henry V, but for some reason, I just don't care much for his Hamlet. I will try and track down the Burton, thanks for the rec!
