goodfellas dvd news, you heard it here first

Hello, yknow, i was the first person to post about the WB upcoming 2 disc SE way back, with purple rain, goodfellas, heat and a few others, people got in an uproar, thought i was just messing around, well, as everyone knows, it was all TRUE, with that said, i just got some info on the upcoming 2 disc dvd set of goodfellas, here it is.

Goodfellas - Two-Disc Special Edition is coming later this year.

Martin Scorsese has already recorded a commentary and participated in interviews for the retrospective documentary.

An archived documentary focusing on the subject matter is also planned for the DVD.

trust me, this is real, heard it from a great source, im pretty suped to FINALLY confirm that we will have an audio comm, and a brand new making of! Also a little historical content will be very kool, this is looking pretty good.

Dude, a Goodfellas SE has been rumoured for about 2 years now. We learned of a commentary being recorded some time ago as well. This is not the first we hear of it.

The only reason people jumped all over you in your last thread was because you were never able to produce a qualified source (but instead said, "trust me it's from this guy at another forum"). People tend to be nervous (not get hopes up) unless there's an official press release from the studio is all.
We all know an SE is coming, it's just a matter of time thankfully. At least you don't resent everyone though...

Ok everyone please get back on topic to the real issue here.

The stuff that jedi is talking about could very well be true. There are many reputable sites/boards with inside information about up and coming dvd's. Whether or not you tend to believe it is up to you, but there is no need to thread crap here.

I'm almost 100% certain too that there WILL be an SE. Because Warner Bros. announced preliminary plans about 2 years ago and rumours persist since then. I was only questioning why jedi feels such a vendetta to let us all know that plans for an SE are still out there (and start a new thread on it again), when he knows we all know as much and are just waiting for studio confirmation and rub in our face like we owe him for reporting stuff that's been rumoured for years (sorry, run-on sentence).

That said, I'll drop it now.
