How to skip forced trailers; FOX warnings, etc.
Alls you have to do is press your power button as soon as the unwanted stuff appears (at least on my RCA DIVX player). Then, turn the machine back on, and you can go right to the menu or the movie, whichever you prefer.
By the way, before everyone jumps down my throat, I got my DIVX player on the day after DIVX died. It was, at the time, the cheapest DVD player available, and I'm not at all unhappy with my decision. [This message has been edited by Gabe Oppenheim (edited 09-20-2000).] |

I have an RCA non-DIVX, and a couple of times I accidentally turned off the player when putting in a disc, then turned it back on and it was in "pause" mode. Maybe I'll throw in Sixth Sense and see if this trick works...
Not that this validates putting them there in the first place... |

The divx fiasco is over, I have pledged my allegiance to DVD and support only that format.
There's no reason to hide the fact that I once found the format to have some merit. I rarely hear of anyone jumping on people because they have Divx players. I am on my 3rd player now and rarely even use the Divx player. |
