A Look Inside... KILL BILL Volume 1 on DVD

Well, as I opened up my copy, there were many cool things about it, I am going to be posting a whole bunch of screens and pictures to show you the disc. Miramax not only included an insert, but a folded one, complete with an article from City Beat

Lets start with the menus

The animated menus are top notch, as well as the awesome music that goes with them. Here are the features.

Yep... you've done it now Moonraker. I'm going to be forced to double (or more, probably) dip now.

Hahaha I'm thinking the same thing. This looks too good to pass up, even if there is an even better version coming down the road... Thank God Miramax put some effort into this release though. The last two Miramax titles I picked up were the cheapest of the cheap

(Dirty Pretty Things and Chocolat - both have no disc art, very little extras, and DPT has no insert)

The back looks... plain - it could have been better. But those menus...

When you first put in the disc, there is a sword slash and black ink starts to drip out leading to the menu. All the menu transitions are animated, including a cool needle injection for the Set-Up Menu.

Anyway, here is a small look at the ink dripping.

Looks pretty cool. I still don't know if I'll wait until the super set coming later, but since I loved the movie so much I might as well pick this one up.

I liked this one enough that I was already planning on getting it, even if it meant double-dipping. Can't wait till the 13th.

This looks sweet. I can't wait to replace my horrible bootleg with it.

Moonraker, what's the running time on the "making of"?

Question for you KB DVD fans.... (maybe I should start another thread, but...)

Who is getting this one and who is getting the Japanese with all the "glorious" color sequences re-inserted for the final mass fight?

I'm kind of curious to see it the way it was shot with color.

Which Kill Bill DVD for you?

I have the Japanese regular version on pre-order.

Moonraker, how have you got this so early, just curious?

The running time is 22 minutes, and it is a really good making of too. They talk about how they developed The Bride during Pulp Fiction and then Uma and Quentin lost touch and then seven years later, rediscovered the story.

Also, I don't know if the "Bootleg Trailer" has been released on the internet, but it has lots of Vol 2 clips in it. Including the wedding that shows who the Bride's guests were, and part of her fight with Elle.

Its not listed on the back or any of the menu, so I'm guessing it was just a rumor.

Are you a critic or something, man? I mean, how'd you get it so early?

And are the subtitles burnt green and yellow like in the theatre?

Thanks.

No I am not a critic... or am I? dun dun dun (suspense music)

Also, the Gogo flashback does have green subtitles and Sophie Fatale's words are in white (when they are in French)
