Texas Chainsaw Massacre Comparisons

I just watch the New version for the first time like 15mins ago. Being a fan of the original I thought it would be stupid to mess with the film. After viewing it I thought it was a pretty decent story. It had its suspenseful moments. I'd say the BIGGEST thing that I missed was the psychological aspects of the movie didn't make the cut. The family scenes from the orginal were completely cut out. I think that killed the movie because you really don't get to know the family like in the original. Bascially its just jessica running around for most of the film. Maybe I expected too much out of the film. Any parting thoughts?

Well I haven't seen either yet so I really can't say but from what I have heard, I am glad they didn't try to do everything EXACTLY like the original you know.
