Sony TV on DVD Poll

Sony studios is conducting another TV on DVD poll to gauge interest in their next possible batch of releases. The last time they did this, all of the top vote getters got a DVD release (with the exception of News Radio that went back for more special features.)

From TVShowsOnDVD.com:

Quote:
A little over a year ago, Columbia Tristar Home Entertainment set up their first TV-on-DVD poll, asking consumers what old TV Shows (that Columbia owned, of course) were most wanted on DVD. That poll directly led to or eventually had an impact on releases of DVDs for shows like The Tick, Soap, Dilbert (all poll winners), Designing Women, The Critic, Barney Miller, and recent announcements for upcoming Just Shoot Me! and Who's The Boss? sets. NewsRadio was also a direct winner of the poll, but was delayed for a bit in order to expand the release to include more extras.

Now Columbia's TV-on-DVD poll returns, this time with a new list of shows to vote for. Some are returning from the previous poll, and others are completely new additions: Action, Dark Skies, Diff'rent Strokes, The Facts Of Life, Fantasy Island, The Flying Nun, Grosse Pointe, Hart To Hart, I Dream of Jeannie, The Naked Truth, Ned and Stacey, One Day At a Time, Pasadena, Police Story, The Single Guy, The Net, The Street, Maude, T.J. Hooker, Mike Hammer, Street Time, Get A Life, Going To California, and Strong Medicine.

On the first poll you were allowed to rank 5 different titles in order of preference, and could take the poll repeatedly. This time out, Columbia onlly allows you to pick a single title from the list, and you can only take the poll one time. Also, they follow up with a list of survey questions designed to find out more about how committed you are to purchasing the title you vote for.

Don't let that slow you down, though! The questions are quick, easy, and painless...and of course you want to help Columbia decide that YOUR favorite unreleased series needs to be on DVD next. So get on over there and start voting!
Personally, I voted for Action! I loved the cast and the concept and it didn't live long enough so it won't bust my wallet and I can get the entire series in one set.

I wouldn't buy any of them. Should I still vote for something? Which?

The ones I wanted from Columbia/Tristar weren't really on the poll, but I voted for I Dream of Jeannie. I wish they would have had a few more selections.

I really hope Get A Life is released. I'd love season sets as opposed to Vol.1 and Vol.2 currently available.

Everyone vote for Get A Life!

Oh come on, no love for Dark Skies? I'd buy that in a heartbeat.

Oh, I DID!

I only voted for Action! and Get a Life. Two of the funniest short-lived shows ever that I'd gladly buy complete series sets of.
I kinda recall Action being on the last poll too, but I guess didn't get many votes. The only other ones I have a mild interest in would be Diff'rent Strokes and Facts of Life, but that's strictly nostalgia, and I couldn't see myself really rewatching the episodes, so I'll stick to any possible late night reruns that might show up for those.
The Naked Truth might be fun too actually, but probably only for super sexy Tea Leoni and her voice that rules all female voices.
