How many seasons were there anyway? How much changed from the first to the last?

Here is the other thread on In Living Color with a full list of episodes in season one.

In Living Color Season 1

I believe there were 4 seasons of the show, and not a whole lot changed except for minor additions and subtractions to the cast. You can check that out at imdb.com

Hope that helps.

Anyone listen to Davidson's über-self-congratulatory commentaries? A constant crap on how genius the show and everyone is and zero background insights. Embarrassing, really.

True, God, with constant references to the people-of-its-time (Grace Jones, Jesse Jackson, M.C. Hammer, Milli Vanilli, Tracy Chapman, Michael Winslow, Arsenio Hall etc.) and with the, what Davidson and the Looking Back featurette calls a "years ahead of its time", skit of two gay art critics, which is somewhat offensive and simply silly today, the show is very dated. And host Keenen's and the fly-girls' wardrobe is pure retro-hell! I can't really judge on its overall comedy style, as I don't watch any TV shows and have no reference how it holds up to today's work. But I just wanted to see it for young Jim Carrey (billed here as "James"!) anyway. He's by far the funniest cast member, mostly due to his timeless physical and vocal comedy, and the Ted "artistic *spits on the floor* sensibilities" Turner and Bob Jackson - Women's Karate Self-defense Class skits are pure gold.

Oh, and it was very surprising to see where the super strange two fingersnips in the air gesture (last seen and spoofed on in "The Cat in the Hat") and the annoying, very fast spoken phrase "hate it" originated from.
