Why no David E. Kelley on DVD?
Is there some reason why no David E. Kelley shows are out on DVD - LA Law, Picket Fences, Ally McBeal, Chicago Hope, Doogie Howser, etc.? Seems like at least a few of these would sell. Is he holding them back for a reason?

Ally McBeal was the only series I've seen of his, and part of the delay of any DVD release for that series is the extensive use of music by other artists throughout each episode, especially a lot of Barry White's music.
The more different artists that appear, the more music royalty contracts that need to be negotiated. If the music royalties are too high, the studio won't make back the money it costs to release any DVDs. Haven't seen any of his other series, so I don't know if music soundtrack royalties are an issue for those to be released.

I thought I heard that LA Law was slated for a release soon.
