I need some Pam on my eyes tonight so I'll be dropping in Coffy.

Say Anything - I had never seen this before, which is a crime considering how much I like Better off Dead & One Crazy Summer and just Cusack's earlier films in general, and as I expected I absolutely loved it; John Cusack is the king of the losers.

True but I didn't see the need to to point that out as well.

If that is the only difference then I'm sorry and Marq posted incorrectly.

He can be forgiven since most Canadians have hockey fever right now, and an area like Ottawa is one of the larger infectious zones.

I'll either be going for Alien Resurrection theatrical edition or the rest of the bonus features on Three Colors: Red. Depends on how much time I have.

Last night, I cringed throughout all of "American Idol" except for Mr. Huff's performance. Then I got my dosage of "The Real World" so I can see those crazy kids live it up in my home town.

Tonight, hopefully nothing. I have a special date with my lady friend!

Hey! The title of the thread is "What Are You Watching Tonight?" and it was posted at 8:58PM on Tuesday April 7, 2004.
How was I not to assume that you were asking what I was watching on that night (which at that point was "tonight"). Or is this thread supposed to be for every "tonight" from yesterday through until all future tonights?
Hmph.

I wouldn't blame hockey fever though even if I was in the wrong. Yes, most of this city is going crazy in anticipation of the playoffs, but I'm not as obsessed by any means.

Anywhooooooo, tonight the schedule is as such:
- Pardon the Interuption (TV)
- American Idol (TV)
- The O.C. (TV)
- more Freaks and Geeks episodes (DVD)
- The Daily Show (TV)

Now stop confusing me, lostwire!

Now if we were watching something on TV, would the thread get moved to Now Playing?

Or if it were a cartoon, would it be moved to the animation forum?

What if we had a multi-region player and could watch anything from anywhere?

What if we were watching Lord of the Rings?

Or Star Wars (on VHS or laser disc of course)?

Or went to a local debate? Would that go in Soapbox?

I'm sorry, I can't contribute to this thread. It's a friggin' powder keg and I'm not gonna be the match.

Hmph.
When I started the thread yesterday I wanted to know what everyone was watching that night, not the night before. So, if you watched something last night & wanted to post it here today you couldn't because that was yesterday & this thread is all about tonight. If you plan on watching something tomorrow but felt like posting it here early, like today, then I'd have to ask you not to & come back here again tomorrow when it will be tonight. Some may ask "What if I plan on watching something tonight but never get around to seeing it, & I still haven't posted here about them?" Well, you're more than welcome to come back & post about it on the day you plan to, or if it's a late night posting the info in the evening would be ok as long as you haven't slept yet.

Holy Guacamole Batman.....that is some seriously hard shit to understand. Well, for me anyway.........Ok, can I reply NOW that I am going to watch a S-Video tape of "The Shield" which aired -last- night, but is going to be watched -tonight-, even though it isn't technically "night" here in Jersey, or for that matter: dusk? Now that I think about it, can I even watch my tape today/dusk/tonight now that I've posted what I plan to do or do I still need permission to watch, or is that post - awww crap. Lostwire, I think I'll go now....by the time I finish my reply, it will be "night" and then I'll miss my taped show. Oh, wait a minute....If I -don't- watch it tonight, and watch it tomorrow night because I'm all tied up here replying to a thread I know nothing about,,,,,,, .......HUH? -Oh yeah- where was I........holy crap, what time is it??????

Can I go know?

Nope, you can't report anything you plan on watching that isn't available on DVD (this is the software section, after all).

I was just teasing Marq, the only member on my buddy list, with all that nonsense anyway.

I've been thinking about it for a while now. And now that I've seen you work your magic with it elsewhere, it's becoming more likely.

I love my Lynch-logo avatar, but Kubrick's my #1 man. Decisions, decisions. I'll have to conduct a public pool, and then follow it or overule it depending on what I end up deciding.

I'm sitting here waiting for my wife to finish watching Guiding Light, or as I like to call it, Open Your Mouth And Lets Us Shove Shit Down Your Throat For The Next Hour.

Jeebus Khrist, is that one sucky-ass show. I have no idea how she can waste 5 hours of her life every week watching it. I mean, she might as well rip 5 hours out of her life timeline, throw it on the ground, have all of you guys spit on it, then pick it up, throw it in the toilet, take a big ol' dump on it, and flush those hours down into the public sewer.

Utter crap.

I also can't believe she just commented that this is actually better than Days of our Lives (aka "We Could Air An Hour of Flies Eating Shit and It Would Be Better") which she also wastes 5 hours a week watching. I'm sitting at the computer here and I can listen to it, and I can literally feel my IQ droping. See, I can't even spel rite anemore!

Tonight, after work, is my bi-weekly movie night. We'll be watching "Goodbye Lenin!" (which just opened at my local independant theatre last week.) I imported the R2 DVD to have an 'exclusive' movie night (as I often do).

Prior to that, I'll be watching some of Jem: The Complete 1st and 2nd Seasons which I netflixed. It'll be interesting to hear how it sounds in 5.1 surround (thanks to Rhino for putting 5.1 tracks on the new discs.)

Tonight, I plan to watch:

- Ottawa vs. Toronto hocket game (TV)
- Survivor (TV)
- The Apprentice (TV)
- Freaks and Geeks episode & extras (DVD)

lostwire, Jem?! Very nice. If it wasn't so expensive, I'd consider geting that for the lady and me.

I was just marveling at the absurd combination of RiderRealm's choices for this evening, & though I do know about Jem, I've honestly never seen the program (but I do enjoy lowbrow entertainment).
