Dracula 2000 on DVD 12/18

I recently read that Dracula 2000 will be coming straight to DVd on 12/18. The guys over at Dark Horizons posted the story.

Update from Darkhorizons today...

Dracula 2000: Since reporting that rumour yesterday about Wes Craven's vamp project going straight to video rather than hitting the screen, there's been a whirlwind of calls and e-mails about it trying to confirm or deny the item - then the official verdict came in early this morning Ausralian time. The good news, according to Dimension Films and Wes Craven himself is that "Dracula 2000" is indeed going for its theatrical release as planned - "the film is on track for a December 22 release in theaters throughout the US. Trailers for the film have already begun showing in theaters - and, as a matter of fact, they have been testing through the roof". Sincerest apologies on my behalf about the confusion.

Hope this helps...

Hey, anyone else seen this trailer?

When I saw Requiem for a Dream (absolutely riveting and incredibly intense), I saw the trailer for "Dracula 2000." It looks really, really, terrible. Although, the trailer implies lots of gore and t&a. Note that Wes Craven did not direct the film, just produced it. Much like the "masterpiece" that was also in and out of theaters in a week, "Wishmaster."

Just saw the Dracula 2000 trailer while watching Blair Witch 2: Wiccan Boogaloo. I'm not sure what I think yet, but it certainly can't be any worse than "Book of Shadows." (And anothe thing, if you're going to call your movie "Book of Shadows," shouldn't there be, at one point, oh I don't know, a BOOK OF SHADOWS??? You know why Disney never named a cartoon called "Ass Masters and the Lost Dildo of Atlantis?"
Because they never MADE a cartoon about Ass Masters & the Lost Dildo of Atlantis! I'm all for giving people something unexpected, but come on...maybe I wouldn't be so botter had the movie not been so assy).
