mi-2 disc flat out rocks!

Just got MI-2 at best buy on tuesday ( for $14.99 no less!) WOW. This disc has the best sound of any other disc I own (and yes, I do have the Matrix). It seems like the surrounds are being used for the whole movie. In fact, the mix is so well done that I really felt immersed in a envelope of sound. It's nice to see that the technology is being used to it's fullest and that the studios are putting in the effort to provide high quality software.

One problem: No trailer. Why not include one? I really like having the trailers included on discs and I thought they were standard procedure now. Oh well, the disc still kicks a**!

I saw MI2 at the dollar theater (which for some reason costs two dollars these days) and I think the thing was barely in /stereo/. The sound was awful. I'm looking forward to the DVD.

Too bad about the trailers. I thought the teaser was great.

Too bad the movie itself wasn't all that great (IMHO). I am curious about the MTV parody though - any good?

the MTV parody is great, i laughed so hard when i first saw it on the MTV awards and i was really shocked to find it 'hidden' on the disc (i hadn't read the back of the box)
as for the movie i have to agree with reeltime on this one, its pure eye candy and a total John Woo movie where the plot comes second to the stunts.. as it says on the box "Put your mind on Cruise control and fasten your seatbelts!"

Who is Tom Cruise?
What is Tom Cruise?
Where is Tom Cruise?
Why is Tom... Cruise?

Yeah, this is a great disc. Like everyone else, my one complaint is the lack of trailers. I usually spin those up first thing, and I was shocked to find they weren't on the disc. But the extras that are there are mostly quality; not a lot of fluff. And the movie looks and sounds great. It's a great buy, especially at Best Buy's price.
