Best Thanksgiving Movie

Well with Turkey day approaching it takes some thinking to conjure up really good movies that are Thanksgiving oriented.

My vote goes to
Plains, Trains and Automobiles

Anyone have any others to add?

How about Home for the Holidays. Or was that Christmas. I don't remember, but I hear it was a good flick

Oh, I know, Adams Family Values!

That scene when Tuesday (Removed for possible Spoiler) floors me every time

All I can do is second planes, trains & automobiles. It looks like the upcoming dvd is going to have the extended plane scene. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

What extended plane sequence?
You're getting me excited, and Planes, Trains, and Automobiles is the all time greatest Thanksgiving movie, you need look no further.

HOWEVER, if anyone taped BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER from last Thanksgiving, it has the all time greatest rant about the holiday from Spike. Since they are starting to release these on DVD, be sure to watch for it when they release season 4.

When shown on tv there is a longer scene with Steve Martin and John Candy on the airplane to Chicago.

I dunno if I would call it the best Thanksgiving movie but "Dutch" was still a fairly decent flick.

I tend to prefer watching an episode of Mystery Science Theater 3000 for Turkey Day. So there's only three DVD choices for this year: "Eegah!", "The Brain That Wouldn't Die", and "MST3K: the Movie"

dhmacg has the right idea.

OK, it's not on DVD, but when I was a kid, WABC-7 out of New York would air the first half of The Man Called Flinstone on Thanksgiving, the second half the day after. I have a crappy EP VHS copy of it, and I might have to watch it for nostalgic reasons.

Also, WPIX-11 also would sometimes air Mister Magoos'Christmas Carol on Thanksgiving. Although as an adult, I usually hate pushing Christmas so soon, again, hard to beat those childhood memories.
