worst DVD you own

I know people have been posting the movies they like, but moviegoers hated and vice versa, but I wanted to know what DVD you own that both America and yourself admit is a bad one to own. We all have that one movie/tv show in our library that we're still confused as to why we bought it. But we have it and we hate it, and so does everyone else. Maybe we got it cause of a sale or as a gift, but you'd love to hide it when people are looking through your collection. Here are mine:

Movie:
Lucas

TV Show:
Dawson's Creek

Let them rip.

Worst Movie DVD: Triplets of Belleville

(I know that the movie only has about 3 lines of dialogue, but not including the original French language track is cinematic rape to me. No French language option? English and Spanish only? I was quite shocked. Good film, decent DVD, but it was a gift. If I bought it on my own, I would've gone for the Canadian version)

Worst TV DVD: Doraemon TV Series

I must say that Doraemon has and always will be one of my favorite cartoon and manga series. But these DVDs from TV Asahi were very low on quality. The old episodes from 1979 seem very dirty. No effort was made to clean up the old prints, so nicks, scratches, and dirt is visible everywhere. And text-based screens on the items used? come on, there could have been so much more extra material dug up!

Granted, I NEVER hide these dvds. I like them very much. Just worst in quality.

My worst movie is Left Behind: The Movie. I got it from a friend of mine for Christmas.

My worst TV show is "The Man Show". I'm not saying its not a quality show. Its just the only TV show that I've only bought one volume of. I haven't bought the subsequent volumes.

Worst TV show: none of my TV show DVD purchases are bad quality, but in terms of "Why did I buy this?", it would have to be The Simpsons Season One.

Showdown in Little Tokyo.

Absolute worst transfer I have ever seen. Constant grain and fuzzy images and half the time people's faces are so blurred out by mosquito noise you can't tell who they are.

Sadly, it also contains the worst spoken line in movie history:

(Brandon Lee to Dolph Lundgren - "You've got the biggest dick I've ever seen on a man")

Although it did have Tia Carrera naked, it wasn't enough.

Though this thread isn't much different than these:

Do you have a guilty pleasure movie?
What Are Your Guilty Pleasures?

I'd have to say the transfer of the last two releases of Ran are pathetic. In fact, my stomach is turning right now while I think about them.

Well, a guilty pleasure is something you enjoy. Your worst DVD could just be a bad release or a film that you still can't understand why you own it.

No, I'm not going to start attacking you for not liking one of the best movies ever, but not to like this dvd set is crazy. 2 great commentaries. Ebert kills it on his track (that means its a good thing). And the 2 hour making-and-history-of doc is better than most anything being put out today. Not to mention the transfer of this film is genius.

You may not like this movie, but please, the quality of the dvd set is the standard that all movies should strive for. Peace.

Either Snake Eyes or Jungle 2 Jungle. Both weren't spectacular movies, but the fact is they came with the old DVD player so they're bare bones average transfers (Snakes Eyes has a constant faint buzzing in one of the channels, it's really annoying). Good think we got them for free though.

If the movie is that bad that I absolutely hate it, it doesn't exist in my collection.

Tossup between I SPIT ON YOUR GRAVE and MANIAC.

I guess since the former is incompetent on every level and thoroughly depressing to sit through, and the latter at least has a shred of artistic merit (and shred is being generous), I'll go with I SPIT...

Now now Lex, you can't be both a Tony Scott aficionado and a believer in the importance of "artistic merit".

Its ONLY (unintentional) merit at this point is that the "retarded" rapist bears an uncanny resemblance to Dana Carvey in MASTER OF DISGUISE, which gave me a momentary chuckle that oh-so-briefly alleviated the repugnance and incompetence I was enduring.

For me, its 976-EVIL. And it's not even wide screen! Stephen Geoffreys wisely abandoned his Hollywood career in favor of gay porn shortly after this gem.

I watched it a few years before Master of Disguise came out, so I didn't even get that out of it. Perhaps I'll try to sit through it again sometime since I still have it.
Right now the only Dana Carvey related chuckling going on with me is those hi-larious commercials where he talks funny and looks funny and shuffles Pringles like they were playing cards!!!
