Those special features sound great. I was going to get this no matter what the features were, because I've got all the other SE Star Trek DVDs. But I'm glad the features are interesting. I can guess what the cover art will be, so now I'm just waiting until September anxiously.

September can't get here fast enough.Star Trek in DTS,Dawn of the Dead,THX-1138 and Star Wars. I'm sure there are other big releases that month, but I can't remember what else is coming out. Any one have a time machine?

Maybe, maybe not, but this film had a rather... different... sound to it than other Trek films. The Laserdisc release, I think, had DTS...

Generations, eh...
First Contact is what I'm psyched about. Considering that Paramount is putting a lot of love into these discs (even if you hate the movies, you have to admit the menus are freakin' awesome), I can't wait to see what they have lined up.

No. Paramount put out exactly one DTS LD: "Titanic".

awesome coverart, but i hope Paramount still uses the "double keepcase" while i prefer the slimline 2 disc cases, i want all the star trek films to look the same, and seeing as the first six were released in the double keepcases i hope Paramount gives us the remaining 4 in the same style (even though the double case seems to be a thing of the past for most studios)

*Edit* i found this at DVDanswers, so i guess it confirms the set will be in a double keepcase

Nice...

Hopefully the disk artwork won't be upside down and hopefully the keepcase won't be white. LOL.

The previous special editions are already in dolby 5.1. This is the first with a DTS track.

That's helpful. Just so you know, I see no benefit in your post. I'm just pointing out that your post is useless.

well, most trekkies have never had sex (with other people), so it's more of an assumption...
