Greyfriars Bobby
Now that we have Darby...
Do you think we might be getting some of the other lesser known titles? The one that I want the most out of this era is Grey Friars Bobby. I think I am remembering the title correctly. From what I remember it is about a man and his little Terrier and when the man dies the Terrier goes and sleeps on his grave each night or something. I always rememberd how touching it was and would definately like to see the movie again and with a DVD treatment. --- I just went to IMDb to check on my spelling etc: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0054944/ Greyfriars Bobby and as it turns out is on DVD July 6th: Scotland 1865. An old shepherd and his little Skye terrier go to Edinburgh. But when the shepherd dies of pneumonia, the dog remains faithful to his master, refuses to be adopted by anyone, and takes to sleeping on his master's grave in the Greyfriars kirkyard, despite a caretaker with a "no dogs" rule. And when Bobby is taken up for being unlicensed, it's up to the children of Edinburgh and the Lord Provost to decide what's to be done. --- So now I will change my topic. Is anyone else excited that this movie is finally coming out on DVD? ![]()

Off topic but...
...the Greyfriars Bobby graveyard is right opposite the shop where I get all my comics. A couple of months ago some hooligans broke into the graveyard in the middle of the night, dug up some long-dead writer and started kicking his skull about. That's some fucked up shit man. They got totally sent to jail. Shawn
