Parent Trap (remake) Now 16X9 Enhanced?

Saw in Target today a copy of The Parent Trap remake. The back of the DVD that it is enhanced for 16x9 tvs. The copy that I bought years ago is non-anamorphic. the UPC for this is 8693614287. Can anyone confirm that this is 16x9? I would like to upgrade.

Thanks.

I can't confirm whether the version of The Parent Trap is, in fact, anamorphic (sorry show), but I can tell you that when I decided to bite the bullet and buy Good Will Hunting last year (as opposed to borrowing my friend's copy), I found a version at my local Best Buy that was indeed anamorphic. I didn't believe the labeling at first, but then I noticed a few subtle changes to the movie description on the back of the Amaray case. Ben Affleck was listed as having starred in Pearl Harbor rather than Armageddon for instance. I ended up buying the disc and sure enough, when I brought it home and popped it in, I could definitely detect a difference between my copy and my friend's copy that I had seen before. Since then, I have yet to see any other copies of the disc that boast of an anamorphic transfer. Which makes me rather suspicious, but kind of happy all the same.

I know this doesn't pertain to the topic exactly, but it's kind of related, maybe. If the price is right, I would give it a shot. You might be pleasantly surprised and if not, you could probably sell it somewhere and make most of your money back.

Is yours a Canadian version? I remember back in the day that there were some movies that were better versions from teh Canadian distributors.

Bumping to see if anybody has purchased this since the supposed change. I saw a copy myself that said "enhanced" but since nothing else seems to have changed on the disc, I have my doubts.
