Kill Bill Vol 1 and 2 Collector's box

Best Buy is selling an exclusive box that will hold your Vol 1 and 2 DVDs together, and features the the vol 1 poster art for $8. What does everyone think of this? Good idea, or another way to steal our money?

It's just another way to steel your money especially since there will be so many releases of it. Don't bother until a better version comes along.

Definitely just another way to steal our money, but I'll admit that the thing does look pretty cool.

Probably the only way I'd get it though is if they sold it for a lower price when you bought Vol. 2 during release week. But knowing BB, they'll probably make you buy both volumes at the same time.

You can get it for free when you buy Volume 2 at Best Buy for 15.99, they only have 50 at each store though. You can also buy Volume 2+Jackie Brown for 25 bucks.

I think it's a cool idea but $8.00 is too high. I didn't buy Vol.1 and will not buy Vol.2 (even though they are my favorite movies in there respective years) because money is tight any more and I am waiting for one of the re-releases down the road.

Expect those releases way down the road, probably sometime next year, I would go for it if they're selling them together for a good price, maybe both for $25 or 30. But AnimeFanBoy..where did you get this info? I hope it's true cause I already own Volume 1 and hope that the case comes free with the purchase of just Volume 2.

hmmm... only 50 at each store? Or*at least* 50 at each store? Usually its the 2nd thing. I really, really hope its the 2nd thing, because I won't make it to Best Buy until 5:30pm because of work

If it comes free at Best Buy with Vol. 2, it's certainly worth going there for... I wouldn't pay for it though, seeing as how there is an upcoming SE set...

And yes Zypn, some of us DO get excited about a box...

Well, I like boxes as much as the next man, but I don't like 8 dollar boxes, unless fireworks are involved. But if it's free w/ Vol. 2 I guess I'll be getting it anyway. Oh the pain, to late for the SE now, or is it?

If the box came with a talking Samuel L. Jackson action figure, oh, I'd be in this.

That's a pretty good looking box. I don't have much interest in the movies though. I saw Volume 1, and thought it was alright. I didn't catch Volume 2. I'll see it someday. If I ever did get these on DVD, I'm sure I'd wait for the Special Editions that are coming down the road.

I thought the box was pretty cheaply made, but it was free and better than nothing. There is definitly no way I would pay 8 dollars for it.

The box was free at my Best Buy.

Also, they had one small sized cardboard box on a display counter with about 50 of the Kill Bill Boxes in it, but over at the media information desk, they had 3 more bigger boxes full (read: full) of the Kill Bill boxes under the counter. I'd say each box had at least 500 covers in it, so my local store prolly got about 1500 of the Kill Bill boxes.

No clue if other retailers got the same quantity.

Also, when you fold the box together, (the retailer gives it to you flat and unfolded) seperate the double flap on the lip of the box, tuck the lower long flap in first, then tuck the two small side tabs in second, then lastly tuck the top lipped tab in.

If you don't seperate the two long flaps, the box doesn't close right.

The Best Buy that I got mine at was also free, and they had way more then just 50. I saw at least 100 or so on the shelf and they had boxes full of them near the shelves, and even more near the media information desk.

I'm actually pretty happy with the box, looks real nice on my DVD shelf.

Got mine today, thanks to an overly generous roomate. The box is damn nice, with all the members of the assassins on the back, and the classic cover. Great stuff... oh, and the movies are good too

Thats what happens if you don't fold the box correctly.

"Also, when you fold the box together, (the retailer gives it to you flat and unfolded) seperate the double flap on the lip of the box, tuck the lower long flap in first, then tuck the two small side tabs in second, then lastly tuck the top lipped tab in.

Try reclosing the box according to those instructions. Mine was closing weird at first. I messed with it and refolded it and now it sits perfectly.

Yeah, mine was screwed up for a while, until i figured it out the way you did, and now its very nice.... i just squeezed it b/w several box sets in order to get the box "worn in", and not stiff and rigid like it came...

Great box, just folded mine! I was psyched they still had some. It was 1:00 and I figured they wouldn't have any left but had a ton, definitely more than 50.

The Best Buy flyer for this week says each store has a minimum of 50 sleeves. I personally find it weird that it'd be announced like that. Usually, freebies are "Limited quantity per store" or "Available until out of stock"...

There were tons of the sleeves at Best Buy, San Francisco.

Correct. Furture Shop is giving away a 16-month calendar.

Man, is it killing me to not buy these... And even if I did, I'm afraid I'd rather order them from the U.S., as I'm just that nitpicky to not want the ugly bilingual covers that Canada offers.
