Best Buy Has the Old Fight Club SE In Stock - DVDfile.com forum for DVD, Blu-Ray, and HD-DVD

While browsing the DVDs at Best Buy yesterday, I noticed that they have the 2-Disc Fight Club that was issued in 2000 in stock... not the re-released 'Fox Collector's Series' or whatever line. It's the original one that was on store shelves before it was OOP.

Just a heads up for those that might be interested.

My roomate was wanting the SE and we noticed this the other day... it was the one with the "9" on the side though, and he was dissapointed. I didn't see any without the "9"...

Who really cares? They are the same DVDs aren't they? I don't see eBay or anyone going crazy over the original release.

I actually offered to take the new one and he could have the old... I think he just didn't want to spend the money and was looking for an excuse. FYI though, I think the paper stock is slightly lower quality... if you care...

You're correct, I was just simply letting people know because I know some are fickle when it comes to packaging. The original release is definitely more durable material than the new one.

I was in the same Best Buy an hour ago, and it looks like they only have one of the originals left.

Wish I had a B&M Best Buy but the closest are 35 miles north & south. I've wanted to pick it up. BestBuy.com has the newer packaging available for $19.99 + 7% tax (free shipping). Is the old one carrying the same price (not that it'll do me any good)?
