Dark Horizons says different...

"The Terminator (DVD): The special edition of the DVD hitting Australia in March will come out in the US first as expected. The Region 1 version hits stores February 26th."

Sorry to disagree with you, gotdvd?, but this is from today's release news right here at DVDFile:

Attention Terminator fans, if you live in Region 4, for once you might actually be able to get a cool title months before we here in Region 1 do. Normally, it seems that North America gets most big titles earlier than the rest of the world, but MGM overseas has announced a March arrival for the long-awaited Terminator special edition months before we're gonna get it...Unfortunately for those with little patience, MGM told us yesterday that the Region 1 version of The Terminator is a ways off...not until at least the third quarter of 2001.

budz420, to answer your question, the current bare-bones DVD is put out by Image, who apparently are allowed by contract to continue selling their version through the first half of next year before an edition from a competing studio can be released.

I think we should'nt feel so upset..I mean..we have an awesome edition which is part 2 on dvd...plus we've gotten an awesome batch of hot movie this year. This upcoming year will be hotter than ever! Patience is the key! I waited for Ultimate T2..and it was worth it!

What about X-Men? I think Europe does not have that on dvd yet!

Patience is the key to happiness. Besides..don't we have a huge collection to enjoy in the meantime?
