I believe this is on Anchor Bays' schedule for mid-2001. They'll probably do a much better job than whoever put out the R2 disc you saw. But the AB disc will likely be 2-3X more, so if that's a consideration you might want to pick it up. For $7, I'd be real curious as to how it looks and sounds and would probably pick it up.

Just thought I'd mention that the AB version is totally cut, it's the TV cut of the film.
It's a shame, this is the third time AB has done this (Sleepaway Camp, C.H.U.D.). Oh well, they are still the best! ------------------ Cinema is everything to me. I live and breathe films -- I even eat them!" -- Lucio Fulci MGM - I WANT MY "RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD" DVD |

Nice screens, man! Hehe, that HAS to be the worst menu I have ever seen since DVD was born, lol. The TV cut just simply means that they use the version they used for TV, the swears aren't edited out at all, nor is the violence, but it's the version they run on TV which is edited for time, so basically the AB version coming out is shorter than the original. Hope this helps
