Best gonna kick the crap outta you scene.

No its not an original topic but I was just reminded how much I like to see someone enter a confrontation with so much confidence and come out unscthed. I was reminded of this while watching the Punisher and Frank snaps the butterfly knife away from the guys hand and smacks him on the nose with it, great stuff.

My favorite has to be in Streets of Fire (which also includes a butterfly knife oddly enough). Michael Pare has a knife pulled on him he snatches it out of the guys hand SLAPS him a couple times, closes up the knife shoves it back in his hand and says "Try again".

Whats your favorites I may not have seen or maybe some refreshers? Yes I know all the Bruce Lee movies. :p

I'm partial to the scene in Tombstone. "You gonna do something or just stand there and bleed?"

I really like the scene in Raging Bull when DeNiro shows up at Pesci's house while the family is having supper and starts beating the crap out of him. The best part of it all is how DeNiro just casually walks in the door.

That scene in Freddy Got Fingered when he dons the Cheese Helmet and thus gains the powers to make the movie kick ass over you and all other movies.

When I had first seen that, I was like....

"OOOOOOH ZIIIIIIIIIIIING!"
and I still am to this day!

1) Sonny beating up Carlo in "The Godfather". Very cool!

2) Scorpio paying that big black dude to beat him up in order to frame "Dirty Harry". [Anybody can tell I didn't do that to him. How? 'Cause he looks too DAMNED good!]

Alec Baldwin going old school on William H. Macy's son in The Cooler Cheating in his Casino and bust his legs up with a crowbar

Awesome movie as that scene was brutal and cool all at the same time.

I have to agree with both the Oldboy scene recommendation, for sheer number of asses kicked, and the Irreversible fire extinguisher scene for sheer brutality.

Punch Drunk Love- When Barry Egan and Lena Leanord are crashed into by the three brothers, and Barry finally snaps, kicking ass with the tire iron. Not a prolonged scene, granted, but swift and very vicious. The look in Sandler's eyes when he gets out of the car, that cold, calculating, distant look, you knew he was going to rain down the hurt on those guys.

I have to say, that Punch Drunk Love scene is one of my favorites. Adam Sandlers character constantly reflected my personality in that movie. Also, I have to agree on the High Fidelity one, I think everyone has one of those cut scenes every now and then.

But, as mine, I would have to say The Crow, when Brandon Lee walks into the room with the big table and everyone's checking out their guns. Then Wincott gives the command to fire and he takes all the bullets and then proceeds to just slither out from under the table and lay waste to the room, that was amazing. The look he had when he entered pretty much said it all. Just about the same thing goes for the rest of the fight scenes in the film. If I saw someone coming at me who looked like that, I'd scream like a woman an run away.

I also like the part in Transporter when Jason Statham's car gets blown up and he gives that pissed off look, then next scene is the baddies playing poker and the door bell rings. BAM!!! LOL, I love that.

the bourne identity apartment fight scene after the assassin crashes through the window. brutally realistic.

mel gibson in lethal weapon after his "electric shock therapy" scene.

any scene with denzel washington after he catches on fire in "man on fire".

... and still out in theatres - tom cruise after those guys took his brief case from the taxi in collateral.

Speaking of Robert DeNiro, there's a pretty good scene in the remake of Cape Fear. Nick Nolte pays 3 guys to beat up DeNiro, and he ends up kicking the crap out of all of them.

Sorry I'm not very good with the follow ups, I've been watch Star Wars, I giggled like a little girl when I picked it up. Man I certainly did forget about some of these and I got the freakin movies right here in my rack. Ford Fairlane NICE!! Damian you where partially right I like the lead up, the actual intimidation and then the actual ass kicking. I think someone should put together like the best 50 on film and put it on dvd.
