I have the U.S Version and it was rated "R" but it was supposed to be NC-17 rated.

If cut (I don't know the answer), there was more hot stuff in Scary Movie?!?
Sheesh.

good cripes! i hope not. i saw it in the theater in Canada and only people over 18 could get in. if it ever arrives in the mail i'll watch it and see if i can see if anything was cut. i did watch the VHS a week ago and i could not see anything noticable that was cut.

Not that I've seen the flick in question yet, but I remember reading a while back that one of the Weinstein's made a change to a line about Gwyneth Paltrow.

So, yes it has been cut for the DVD, but I dont know if its the scene you're talking about

P7A77, is that your expert opinion C'mon, some people liked this. I have never seen it, so I can't comment on the quality of the film.

It's in my American Region 1 Scary Movie DVD in the actual movie, and not in the deleted scenes.
The rating is rated R.

Sonic, unless you have a different edition to mine, the map bit is cut from the sequence in the actual movie. It's only represented in the deleted scene. (I too have the region 1 US)

Thanx for your imput guys. The reason i like this movie and films like AMERICAN PIE, DUMB & DUMBER & ROAD TRIP is that it takes the piss out of itself & does'nt take it self seriously & whats wrong with a little immature, purile humour. So P7A77 let your hair down & have some fun, chill out

I've actually never seen Scary Movie, but you can tell it sucks from the commercials and from people I know who tend to really like horrible movies who came back raving about it and returning for more.

There ain't nothin' wrong with what you describe, but just because something fits into a category doesn't mean it's a good example of the genre. I don't think having a movie not take itself seriously automatically means it doesn't need to put forth any effort or show any quality. I could film myself smacking my head into a wall for ninety minutes all the while saying "I'd buy THAT for a dollar.. hyuk, hyuk!"... and while some people would pay good money to see that, doesn't mean it's any good. Fifty million Elvis fans CAN be wrong.

But, again, I haven't seen Scary Movie... tho' my type of humor generally doesn't involve laughing at lines from other movies thrown all together and held up as "irony", so I doubt my opinion would change much. And FWIW, I thought Dumb & Dumber had its moments, I haven't seen Road Trip, and I liked American Pie. But then, I have a soft spot for Eugene Levy.

Lo Pan

You're right. I just checked out my Scary Movie and it is only found in deleted scenes. My apologies.

I hate American Pie (not hate, but I found it not likeable..thought I did laughed in many scenes)..and I think the comparison between the two just does not exist.

Scary Movie is in a class of all of it's own. It's awesome..I died laughing and it was made so beautiful. I love the wayan in which he is gay or acts gay! HAHAHA! "Hey, does this yellow shirt make me look gay?"

No.

"How about now?"

LOL!!!!

QUICK lets bring him over there! I'll grab his leg.

Wayan: I'll grab his ass.

LOL!!!
