Question about edition size of Army of Darkness LE single disc

ok, I bought this at EB Games in the mall (used of course).

I took it home and entered it into my profiler, and while doing so i did a bit of research on the edition size of the DVD.

now, upon doing so, i noticed that the edition size for this release should be 40,000. BUT on MY DVD it says 5,000 (2,940 / 5,000 to be exact). and i DID check to see how many different releases had this cover. and there was only one with this EXACT cover from AB.

the reason i bought it was because it was the LE (and i still didn't have the movie), and from a collector standpoint, it was nice to have.

I can almost say for a fact, upon inspection, that this is NOT a bootleg or edition other than an OFFICIAL Anchor Bay Region 1 release.

so my question is, what the hell am i sitting on here?
and why does my DVD say 5,000 instead of 40,000? (i did a pretty thorough investigation of the packaging and disc, and, like i said, can certainly say that this is NOT a bootleg or other region release (if it is, it's one HELL of a GOOD one))

All the DVD had inside was a heavy stock double-sided insert (with chapter list on one side and the poster art (from the cover) on the other) and the disc itself (also with cover art). and the DVD is in a gold alpha case.

any help on this would be appreciated.

here's some pics of the DVD...

its a canadian pressing. i own the 1999 2 disc LE. anchor bay did 30000 or 40000 as an american dvd then did 4000 for canada. probably made by anchor bay in america for export as theres no canada markings. all versions are the same. i assume they did this on later for all the rereleases.
