Shrek 2 DVD question. - DVDfile.com forum for DVD, Blu-Ray, and HD-DVD

I know that most movies are released on DVD on Tuesdays (Tuesday rocks man!) but does anyone know why Shrek 2 is coming out on DVD on Friday November 5th? The only reason I can think of is the election but Around the World in 80 Days in coming out on Tuesday but I don't know. Anyone know the special features on the Shrek 2 DVD?

Two words:

The Incredibles.

They did the same thing when Monsters, Inc. came out in theaters.

Probably because the first Shrek was also released on a Friday, to combat a Pixar/ Disney theatrical release, and they want to emulate those record breaking sales again. Thus, they'll employ the same method of releasing it, since it worked so well for them last time. Did I just say the same thing twice right now? I think I did.
