Holy Batmania, Batman!

I've been searching the net for any reviews on this DVD set that came out today, but no luck. There is supposed to be one done soon on DVDTalk.com.. but in the meantime, did anyone get this DVD yet? Can you give a review of the special features? Thanks!

Next Bat-time,

Jaws

Man, i watched this show over and over as a kid. Same Bat-Channel. Ah, memories. Sorry, i don't know of any reviews yet, but I did see it in Wal-Mart.

I'm dying for them to release this show on DVD. I wasn't aware of the Batmania disc though. This just a collection of some documentaries and a look back at the series? I'd definitely be interested in it depending on the reviews.

The TV series is in rights hell because Fox owns the show and Warner owns Batman.

Grab Anchor Bay's DVD of Return to the Batcave next summer, it was an awesome TV movie no one watched. Really really fantastic

Yeah, the rights hell will probably keep it out of our hands for some time to come. I'm not holding my breath on it.

I haven't picked up Return on DVD yet. I Tivo'd it last year and had a blast watching it. It was quite entertaining. Eventually I'll get around to picking up the DVD.

Hi,
Do you remember what the price is on this? If it's not too expensive i would like to buy it. It would be nice to go with my Batman:The Movie Dvd.

The news of this DVD being released completely escaped me. If I didn't see it under the new releases on Netflix this thread would have been the first I heard of it. Well yesterday I was happy to see both discs waiting for me in my mailbox but I'm afraid I was too busy to check them out. Hopefully tonight will be different & I'll make sure to share my comments on what appears to be a really fantastic set.

Thanks everyone for your input! Lostwire, I will be looking forward to your review! Here is some more info I got about this release from Amazon:

"Batman: Holy Batmania," "Adam West: Behind the Cowl," "Julie Newmar: The Cat's Meow" and "Cesar Romero: In a Class by Himself" are the four main programs. Some of the extras are the screen tests for Adam West, Burt Ward, and Lyle Waggoner, and bumper bits for the Batmania wrap arounds in the late 80's.

Next Bat-Time!

I liked Return to the Batcave and i hope Anchor Bay includes an alternate version without the flashbacks. I love the scenes with Adam, Burt, Julie and Frank but didn't care too much for the re-enactments with other actors playing their parts.
