Has anyone gotten this? I was planning on buying it after work, but I just read a review on Amazon that the original music was changed. Can anyone here confirm or deny this?

This is from the reviewer on Amazon:

21 Jump Street on DVD, like so many DVD releases of classic TV, gets a big FAT F FOR FAILURE. Like many fans, I settled down to watch this with some excitement and a sense of nostalgia. Instead of enjoying it, bit by bit, things started to bug me. Imagine my horror when I discovered that the pilot ISN"T the original version but rather an edited version and the ORIGINAL MUSIC HAS BEEN REPLACED ON ALL THE EPISODES. And not so much as a disclaimer to be found anywhere on the packaging to acknowledge that fact! BUYER BEWARE.

Now, is it true or not? I have no idea, I haven't seen the show in years. But we know that this is done with a lot of DVD's...so I was wondering if anyone here (cause opinions on this board matter! ) had noticed anything....

It could be that the theme song was different in Season One and that reviewer didn't know it... I know when I first watched the Quantum Leap set I was like "what the hell is this shit?" at the opening... Turns out we've been seeing the Season 4 opening of Leap in all the reruns...

the theme was different in the first season.. it was second season or third season when they changed the theme a bit.

probably talking about all the 80s pop songs by no-name bands who would still command thousands to use the song. Every episode had a special song by a different group.
