I don't have any more info on this, but a Crying Game "Collector's Edition" has popped up on amazon.com for a January 25th release. I have the old Live dvd that was released in 1998, and let me say, it's awesome that they finally decided to go back and re-do this one. The original dvd was just terrible.. about on par with a VHS tape. It also looks to be very reasonably priced.

Hopefully this turns out to be true. I like the film a lot and have always had a particular fondness for Neil Jordan's body of work.

This is such a great movie! I still remember seeing this in the theater in Manhattan. My stupid date had fallen asleep and woke up when he heard the collective gasp from the audience.
I wouldn't tell him what he missed.....sucker!

y'know i was just thinking about this film the other day. i haven't seen it or if i have, not since i was like 10... either way, i've been wondering what DVD releases there are of it.

might be worth a blind buy, even though i know the spoiler.

I know nothing of this film, but they make fun of it on Coupling often. I may have to check it out. British humour is no fun if you don't know what they are bloody talking about.

I have the first release of this film (this new one is at least the third in Region 1) and it is truly the worst DVD I own. It looks like a bad VHS or a bootleg VCD. Great movie, ugly disc so I may actually pick this special edition up.

Still he was a sweathog.
