What's the best DVD viewing night you've had so far ?

What's the best DVD viewing night you've had so far (preferably not being by yourself) and please say why, as in what were the amusing or serious circumstances of the night, that makes it stick out.

Halloween 2001. My ex-fiancee came over for the first time to watch Halloween (naturally). She wore this HOT black dress. We did the totally romantic thing of ordering pizza. She tore me up with the best sex I ever had in my entire life.

It was magic I tell you. If Halloween weren't already my favourite movie, it would be now.

Totally.

And pizza really is a romantic thing to do. Splitting a pizza and bottle of wine and watching a DVD the perfect pretext to sex.

Since the only times I watch DVDs with more than myself (of which there's been many great marathons had) or one other person is at a friends annual Halloween party (which is fun and all for certain - especially the inevitable 2am screening of The Evil Dead each time), I'll go the Notoriousaurus route and say one of the better times was when Miss Marq and I rented "Not Another Teen Movie", ordered a pizza and were almost too drunk to even insert the disc into the player [insert innuendo laugh here]. I recall hardly a moment of the movie and she remembers even less of the evening, including the particularly awesome action that went down in the bathroom. And on the DVD tip we sobered up while watching episodes of Three's Company: Season 1. Perfect. I really should buy that movie to recall the events.

I gotta say back in March of 2000... When i was in college a hot asian girl that lived on my floor that I "kinda" knew came by to hang out, and she happened to bring a sixer of woodchuck cider. So she says "oh wow you have Armegeddon I love that movie" (I got the criterion free with my dvd player) So I proceed to pop in the disc and we watch it all the while chugging on our woodchucks. The minute the credits hit, her in her drunkedness hops on my and takes full advantage of me and well I'm sure you can figure out the rest of the story....

While I never thought armageddon was as bad as most people think, it definitly holds a special spot for me now!!!

My 'friend with benefits' was over at my apartment while I was in college and had brought over some 'stuff' that she had obtained a few hours earlier. We threw in the movie Half-Baked while watching it and getting completely lit-up. We ordered out for some pizza and after it came we kind of did the same. We were both really blitzed but had a great time that night. lol. (I just wish I could remember more of it. )

Looks like us DVD geeks aren't such geeks after all! Good job fellas. Glad to see some others have found the true meaning behind Digital Versatile Discs.

thanks for reminding me...

My Halloween marathons the past two years were pretty great, but not really a personal highlight.

I have to say that watching THE SHIELD (especially season 2) with my Dad takes the cake. We both loved it so much and had a great time...wish the damned thing was in 5.1 though.

Scanners, followed by sodomy. Next in line would be watching the entire first season of Arrested Development on a tuesday afternoon with two friends and a large plastic bottle of vodka.

Over this past weekend I managed to get my wife (who says she likes horror movies but either hides her eyes throughout or doesn't watch them to begin with) to watch the remake of Dawn of the Dead. Not a perfect film but she did say that she liked the twisted sense of humor used some of the times. Now that I have a foot in the door, I'm trying to figure out what to try next since I love horror and old B-grade stuff from the 60's and 70's.

And with all of the pizza talk, I guess I missed out when I delivered pizza 20 years ago (before DVD, home video, etc.). I did get the occassional "Just a minute!" followed a full minute later by some hottie wearing her robe and bed head. I guess back in those simpler times either the act of ORDERING pizza got people hot or they used pizza as a way to replace the usually awkward cuddling.

Actually, I am still waiting for that "Ultimate DVD Viewing Night".

I've had a few decent ones, but none that were mind-blowing. Usually, my Halloween DVD night get-togethers are pretty fun.

We had fun watching The Omen one year... making fun of the old man ranting about Boogenhagen (sp?).

We had two Scream parties leading up to the theatrical release of the third movie. Those were pretty fun too.

Never really had any Sex-Related DVD Viewing Nights though... none worth mentioning anyway...

Had some Sex-Related VHS Viewing Nights, however.
