The last pages have the scene selections. The back of the book is simply an ad for his other movies and that stupid documentary 'the buried secret...'

Talk about a shit movie.....Shyamlalanadingdong has very little talant at these movies with a "shocking ending". I guessed this one 5 minutes into the film....and when I saw Sixth Sense in the theater I thought to myself..."i saw this when it was called "Carnival of Souls".....the guy is a hack.

but thanks for the pics moonraker

Woot.

I am on this.

Seen this in the theater. I give it the "very ok" rating.

Thanks Moonraker.

I liked the movie. But I guessed the ending early into it as well. I don't know if it was from watching so much Twilight Zone and Alfred Hitchcock Presents or what, haha.

I'm torn as to whether or not I'll pick this one up. I really didn't like it that much in the theatre, but on the other hand, I am a ridiculous consumer whore with a ravenous appetite for DVDs.

I think I'll just pull a rare move and give it a rent.

I just saw this and for about the last 45min of the movie I kept thinking "this better not turn out the way I think it's going to, this better not turn out the way I think it's going to." And of course, it turned out exactly like I thought it was going to. The sad thing is that I actually enjoyed the movie up untill about the last 30 minutes, I kept thinking to myself that it had gotten a bad wrap and while not great it was atleast better than Signs. Then the ending happened and the whole thing fell apart. In the films defense it did have very nice cinematography and music, so atleast it looked and sounded pretty.

Omg, certinaly you jest! A booklet? And here I thought even the scene selection slips had died out.

I actually thought this was one of the best of the year in what is (I have left to see Million Dollar Baby, but how can one film save a whole year) a rather dissapointing year at the movies (Save for Eternal Sunshine--that was worth a dissapointing year in movies, to have that come along). I like Shymalan's work, in fact love this and Signs and The Sixth Sense, as they are the only movies to actually make me become involved enough with the characters to believe supernatural things (afterlife, etc) do/can happen. So, I really don't care either way about the endings. In fact, if you did like it, I'd recommend a second viewing, as the second time I saw this at the show (after liking it quite a bit the first time) the film stands up more, stronger, as a very complete piece. With the performances especially; Bryce Dallas Howard I believe is an incredible talent who will have a long, justly deserved career.
So, anyhow, will be picking this up tomorrow.

Am I correct in believing that the trailer for "The Village" isn't included on this DVD?

That was a cool trailer. I remember thinking the first time I saw it, "That was a cool trailer. I hope it is on the DVD".

No trailer on the DVD. It is in the previews section on other Touchstone/Buena Vista DVDs, like King Arthur.

Amazing performance by Bryce Dallas Howard. And she is a hottie. Who knew Ron Howard's genes would translate so well into his daughter?
