Anybody pickup Silverado? Fun flick but the packaging is ASS

I picked the Superbit edition of Silverado. I'm glad I held off until they released an edition like this. BUT, the packaging is just absolute crap! I'm talking E.T. dvd packaging bad. You could easily fit 3 dvd cases into this thing. And why is it that big? Because they had to put in a lousy deck of cards....The whole thing stumps me. But the 20 page collectors booklet is actually very nice.

To clarify my gripe, the picture above is a big box. Yuck. But hey, I have a deck of cards with that same pretty picture that graces the front of the dvd box.

I'm expecting mine in the mail, hopefully today. As long as the Superbit picture is great, I'll be a happy camper.

You can take the Amaray case OUT of the box along with the cards and toss the main box. I'm just grateful that SONY did something good for a change with a catalogue title. the price is right. They are going back to botching things up though with the SE of MATILDA which is a scope movie they are releasing FULL FRAME.

Same here (The "liking it" part). Kudos to Columbia/TriStar for the originality of the box.

Don't know yet, but it is Superbit, and I have been more impressed lately with Superbit titles. I'll report back.

Unfortunately the collector book does not fit in the case (misses by about a 1/4 inch)

which means putting the book (and it is rather nice) beside the case on the shelf rather than IN the case like other booklets.

Honestly, someone wasn't thinking through on this packaging.

I didn't have the original release, so I can't compare the two...but I was pleased with the image quality.
