Where can I find the Backdraft trailer on DVD?

The Backdraft trailer was one of the best trailers I ever saw back in 1991.. (think hard and you can remember it.. "What would you do with the world?".. "BURN IT ALL!" with the music score from "Glory" playing in the background..VERY well put together).. however, the trailer is NOT on the Backdraft DVD.. so I was wondering if there is another DVD out there that had this trailer on it? Or if there was a site that listed all available trailers on DVDs? Any help would be appreciated!

I can't think of any. I do recall it though. This is one DVD in need of an anamorphic re-issue. Love it!

I've thought for years that this would be a great idea. My ass is just too lazy to take it on myself.

I'm going to check the laserdisc tonight and see if the trailer was included (but I'm thinking it was not).

Thanks for the replies! I was a relief manager for a United Artists theater back in 1991 and I remember we had tvs in the lobby that played trailers all the time.. and Backdraft and Hudson Hawk were shown the most.. beautiful trailer.. (Backdraft of course.., sorry Bruce)

This reminds me;I would love to have a few discs of trailers to play in my store.
Are there any LEGAL trailer discs available?

Not quite on topic I know, but didn't want to start a seperate thread.

Since Apollo 13 got a very nice 10th aniversery re-release dvd just a few weeks ago. Why doesn't Ron Howard do a special feature loaded dvd for its 15th aniversery next year. What a great idea. I would gladly double-dip, the current dvd has no extras, and a horrible transfer.

There was once talk of a SE of Backdraft. Since it is Currently Unavailable to by I would guess one is on the way.

Hmm.. I tried this videodetective and all I got was the "Loading.. Please Wait" trailer.. I even tried switching speeds.. I guess it just wasn't meant to be..

It's on the DVD for The River with Mel Gibson. Look in the filmography for Scott Glen and you'll find it.

It's no problem. There's actually another really great trailer for Backdraft that was originally attached theatrically to Kindergarten Cop. It contained just score with no (or very little) dialog. I haven't seen that one on video anywhere yet.

I really love trailers. In fact, I just finished producing a title for one of the studios and was very vocal about making sure the trailer was also included. Luckily, it will be.
