Supposibly DVDAf.com (my collection site choice) has a date of July 19th going right now for the dvd. With a possible UNCUT VERSION also being released along side the theatrical cut.

I heard 6/7, but that seems way to early for a Warner release. They usually take at least 5 months. I think Bob's date sounds better.

DavidDVD has the following item:
"Warner Home Video Germany will release Constantine on June 10th. The film, starring Keanu Reeves and Rachel Weisz, will be available as a two-disc special edition featuring a 2.40:1 anamorphic transfer with English and German Dolby Digital 5.1 tracks. Extras will include an audio commentary (with director Francis Lawrence, producer Akiva Goldsman and screenwriters Frank Capello and Kevin Brodbin), deleted scenes (with optional commentary from Francis Lawrence), "The Production from Hell" and "The Depiction of Hell" documentaries, "Constantine's View on the Universe" and "Constantine's Genesis" featurettes, "A Look Ahead: The Power of Prediction" (with commentary by Lawrence), teaser and theatrical trailers, "Passive" music video by A Perfect Circle, and more. Retail is 19.99 Euros. Warner Home Video Spain also has released package art for three editions of Constantine." If it's 6/10 in Germany, 6/7 is probably right for the US release. As far as "three editions", I'm guessing single disk bare bones, the two disk described above and two disk uncut, but that is based purely on the way things are being released now with one and two disk versions of everything. And Dilmo, I am in Texas and things are pretty pleasent right now. You must mean Aug/Sept, when the thermometer locks in at 105 and won't let go. I just *love* those $350 electric bills.

I would love to see how the effects for the Hell sequences were pulled off and I found the comic books after seeing the film so I'm offically hooked on the world of Constantine

The artwork was changed from the cool poster to a lame "action shot." There are no extras at all really, just some deleted scenes. The summary on the back is really corny. Yay! Oh, and Region 2 gets a 2-Disc SE from what I read on the "reply" section of that page, so it seems we're getting set up for the double dip again. Must have worked out for Fox so well WB wants to do it. |

And it's not because I can't wait. It's because Region 1 is getting played around with. My ability to get the "full version" of a movie on DVD is in jeopardy because of sheer corporate greed, whereas other regions don't have this problem (this recent problem).

I hope this isn't a new trend with WB. First, Ocean's Twelve and now this. I think I'll go ahead and set myself up for a double dip. The cover is hideous as well.

I agree with what's been said about R1, I live in the UK and don't want to buy our R2 SEs because I'm not keen on PAL DVDs and the speed-up, so I have to wait for R1s too (we got a two disc version of Man on Fire which I passed on).
In the UK we have different cover art for the video game: ![]() |

Re: Constantine Street Date?
I saw this at the cinema & was a little underwhelmed. I'm not really familiar with the comics but the movie was decent enough but nothing spectacular. Having said that, i'll probably pick this up at some point.

Anyway, despite my usual complaint of "releasing a 1 and 2 disc at the same time allows them to charge way too much for a 2 disc" complaint, I'm happy to have the definitive version of Constantine right off the bat. |

Thank you Warner. I can now quit my bitching unless they release a director's cut or the ultimate demon edition. I don't think they will since Warner does a good job of not double dipping but you never know.
