I used to have this on taped off cable on a VHS, yet somehow both never got around to it AND lost it. Can anyone who's seen it give me a FULL report on who Brittany Murphy plays, how large her role is, and what her appearance is like in the film (blonde, brunette, skinny, etc.)?

I've seen it and like for reason that may not apply to most people. It was made in Minnesota, and takes place in Minnesota, and makes fun of Minnesotan's.

The movie it self is really cheesy.

For its low, low retail price, it is more than worth it since you can easily watch it twice.

We rented this after it came out years ago, and just recently bought it.

What a great movie that spoofs the whole "pageant" world.

Much recommended, if only for the Denise Richards song number, "Can't Take My Eyes Off Of You".

Those who have seen that scene will know what I'm talking about.

I also enjoyed the "Waiting For Guffman" style take on the judges. Although scripted, the actors did a great job with it.

It was one of the 200 DVD's I sold because it was lightly scratched...

I like the movie. It's was pure jokes.

I have the DVD but saw it in the theatre with a co-worker, and we were both in hysterics.

Since then, I have relocated to Minnesota. :p

While most everyone else in the movie seems to be able to master the Minnesotan accent, Kirstie Alley can't decide if she's Minnesota or Southern...
