I saw this in the theaters with the free ticket from the Man on Fire SE, and I thought the movie was decent. It felt a bit like the first X-Men movie, where the first half of the movie is spent on telling their background story and how they get their powers, and then the 2nd half dealing with crises and bad guys.
Fox being the double-dip slut studio it is, I will be looking closely at what bonus features are available with this director's cut version before spending any money on this.

screw any comic book fan who didn't like this film.
seriously. If you truly liked comic books, you'd be happy as shit to get this good of movie made. Anyone requiring FF to be as good as Spider-Man and X-men is just spoiled and unrealistic. My entire group of friends, my wife, and son are looking forward to this DVD release, and will consider it a great addition to the superhero movie library. Additional scenes would likely benefit the movie. Too bad they couldn't make Doc Doom as good of villain as Magneto. They whiffed on that opportunity, which is a shame.

You've shown me the light... it's clearly not "Phantom Menace" that sucked, it was a spoiled audience that should never have gone in wanting a good movie. Shame on them. Shame.

OK, I'll bite.
What does Star Wars (1977) and it's prequels have to do with the FF and recent superhero movies?
