Meet The Feebles?
Okay, so a search brought up three topics, the newest of which was 2002, so i'm making a new thread.
which version of this is recommended? i've got a VHS of it, and i know the previously released (2002) version is ass-for-a-hat, but was there ever an anchor bay release? any other thoughts? thanks in advance.

my buddy used to work for Anchor Bay and that topic always came up but as usual it was a rights issue, so i dunno, try contacting anchor bay and see whats up

Anchor Bay once said they were doing an SE of it, but nothing ever came of it. The other version is pretty crappy, but is better than my old VHS was, for what it's worth. There was a special made for New Zealand TV about the movie as well. Ready made extras!
You'd think with Jackson being as popular as he is now, this could get released.
