Further Details:
Warner Home Video has announced the George Clooney directed Good Night and Good Luck which stars Patricia Clarkson, Jeff Daniels, David Strathairn, Frank Langella, George himself, and Robert Downey, Jr. The film takes place during the early days of broadcast journalism in 1950's America, and chronicles the real-life conflict between television newsman Edward R. Murrow and Senator Joseph McCarthy and the House Un-American Activities Committe. The disc will be available to own from the 14th March, and should retail at around $28.98. As well as an anamorphic widescreen transfer, and English Dolby Digital 5.1 track, the disc will include an audio commentary with George Clooney and Grant Heslov, additional scenes, and the theatrical trailer. We've attached the official region one package artwork below:


This was one of the best films of the year! Can't wait.

I hope they mean Senator McCarthy and the House as 2 separate entities. It's a little pet peeve of mine, but Senator McCarthy had nothing to do with a House Committee. I think HUAC actually pre-dated McCarthy.

I watched this last night for the first time. I enjoyed it but I'm not excited about it. I thought it was rather dry. I do wish Edward R. Murrow was around in today's political climate.

I feel ya Tom. It was very interesting, but it was also a film I don't plan on visiting again for a very long time.

Maybe if it was longer and covered more of Murrow's career, I would have enjoyed it more.
