Nobody wrote bad movie dialogue like Ed Wood.

Here's one of my favorites from PLAN 9 FROM OUTER SPACE:

"We are all interested in the future, for that is where we will spend the rest of our lives."

"Holy sheet metal, Batman!"

"What?"

"This sheet metal...it's full of holes...you know...hole-y."

I'd have to go with Storm's toad/lighting line as the absolute worst one. I was going to post it until I saw that Looneyguy opened the thread with it.

I second that. It stuck out really badly. Ugh.

Your shower shoes have fungus on them. You'll never make it to the bigs with fungus on your shower shoes. Think classy, you'll be classy. If you win 20 in the show, you can let the fungus grow back and the press'll think you're colorful. Until you win 20 in the show, however, it means you are a slob.

"What would we do without the girl scouts?", or similar, used by Elvis in one of his films, which was particularly awful because of who was saying it. You're the King of Rock 'n Roll, show some dignity! More recently that X-Men one gets my vote, perhaps they'll put the punchline in the sequel.

I LOVE that Ed Wood 'future' line!

Plus I never get what people hated about Neo's line: "I know kung fu" - he's saying it surprised, doesn't anyone else see that?

That "holy rusted metal" line was the only good thing in that entire BM movie!

That "Christmas comes but once a year" is a famous quote... what's so dumb about it? It means you should make an effort because you only get one chance a year...

The worst line ever, the one that made me laugh out loud (despite me enjoying the rest of the movie) in the cinema out of sheer embarassment:

"They sucked out his brains!" - Starship Troopers

I'm sure there's a hell of a lot worse than the one's here (maybe not worse than that "black sperm of vengence" line!)... c'mon people - REAL CHEESEBALLS!

Ok, first off, I peed myself when I read this.

Secondly, the chick character in The World is Not Enough was named Christmas Jones... and at the end, Bond is, well, doing what Bond does to the ladies (and prematurely)... but the joke is that he says "I guess Christmas doesn't just come once a year..."

Get it? Get it?

The exact line is: "And I thought Christmas only comes once a year." Just to clarify that.

The (anti)climatic fight scene in Roadhouse when that militant street-fighting ex-con is about to tangle with Patrick Swayze, he says, I think exactly:

"Prepare to die."

I almost pissed myself when I heard it the first time, and I was like 18. Hilarious. Also from the very same movie is Swayze's famous:

"Pain don't hurt."

An oxmoron of titanic proportions, only expressable in poor grammar.

From "The Black Hole"

"It's mission was to find habitable life in the universe" WTF?

Hmmmm.
"Show me the money!" I guess the line is ok it is just that everyone used it.

I can't think of any more.....

But I did hear this line in a movie. It nearly caused me to choak to death.

"Get your sister's head out of the toilet before I crack your ass the other way!"

"This is where the fish live"

Spoken for no particular reason by a character in the movie "The Touch of Satan", featured on MST3K (she was pointing at a lake when that line was spoken).

Steven Segal, in Hard to Kill.

The villain is a dirty politician, up for reelection. His catch phrase is "And you can take that to the bank!"

The scene, Segal is recovering from a coma, preparing for his revenge against this politican, when a campaign commercial comes on the television.

Politician: And you can take that to the bank!

Segal (grimacing): Yeah...da blood bank!
