Youi've got Mail and Apple

I'm pretty sure I've seen this in either You've got mail or MI -1.

When Hanks or Cruise send mail they appear to be using Apple computers.

When they send the mail a cool little envelope folds up and disappers into the screen. My friend says all Apples do this. I don't think they do.

Anyone around here own a Mac or Apple that can settle this?

I might collect on this if I'm right.

I don't know for sure but I think that's a fake computer effect in the movie. There are only a few movies known for accuracy in the computer scenes.

Peace...

Yeah they are fake. Just like the "video conference" Nedry has with the guy on the docks in Jurrasic Park. It's a quicktime movie. You can actually see the progress slider at the bottom of the screen.

It is a cool effect. I wonder why nobody has incorporated it into their e-mail programs. Least of all Apple corp.

Recieving an email is a lot less dramatic so they almost always add fake graphics so the movie watcher can actually SEE they've recieved an email.
