Well I am not a war movie person, the closet thing i have to a 'war movie' is starship troopers or forrest gump. What I plan on watching this memorial day is either A: Back to the Future Trilogy or Indy Trilogy, or maybe a Star Wars from Ep I to Ep VI
. Any suggestions would be most helpful

I've got a bunch of war movies, and I'll be picking out a couple to watch on Memorial Day. I might even do a Band of Brothers marathon.

I'll probably break in my new Patton, Dirty Dozen & finish with The Great Escape. Next day I'll be getting the 20th anniversary Platoon so I won't be able to watch it on Monday.

If you do watch what you listed, I suggest Star Wars, because war is hell...even in space. ![]()

Based on that list I would definitely do, in historical order-
Saving Ryan-Full Metal Jacket-Black Hawk Down I have not seen any of those older movies (Patton, Dirty Dozen, Etc.) and Platoon isn't out yet otherwise I would recommend that one. Pearl Harbor is too long and to me not so much of a war movie but a love triangle to eat up valuable time from other more pure war flicks. I don't think Forrest Gump qualifies either. I have been considering this for a long time and this may be my first chance to get it done- LOTR Trilogy, oldest war saga if you insert the fictional history of the story to about medieval times or older. TBS or AMC or TNT is haveing this sort of marathon. Of course, with all this free time I probably will just default to playing Oblivion on the 360. |
