Do you keep the cardboard sleeves?

For the most part I have no problem with them. If they save the case from getting scuffed, all to the good. The problem, though, comes when the store stupidly puts a price sticker on it that won't peel off without leaving all sorts of sticky crap behind it, maring the surface. Or, you get those cases where some DVD's in a set will come with cardboard sleeves and some don't (I'm looking at you, Harry Potter).

Anyway, do you like them? Do you save them, use them? Let us all know.

I keep them...but not on the DVD cases. I take them off the case so the cases look more uniform on the shelves. I then put the sleaves in a stack in another corner. I'm really not sure why I keep them.

try some weird stuff called googone. It really gets all that glue residue and anything stick off stuff. It should work on those cardboard sleeves. As for the question, I leave them on the DVD on the shelf. I paid for it, I might as well keep it! Humph.

I've only kept three sleeves in my entire collection; The Usual Suspects, Fargo, and Once Upon A Time In Mexico (and that one only because the film's title isn't printed on the spine of the actual cover art ). Otherwise, no matter what's printed on it, I toss them into a couple of shoeboxes and shove them under my dresser. Yeah, they might help prevent scuffing on the disc cases, but I can cram more discs onto a shelf if I remove the useless sleeves, so adios.

I like them and i keep them all too. I actually place all my cardboard sleeve movies on a sperate shelf with my tv series collection (they are all in some sort of sleeve) from the other regular dvd cases. Its the only way i really keep my movies organized in any sort of way. Its amazing how well i actually know where any of my dvd's are from memory. Take a look at a good portion of my collection (though its a bit messier and more filled out now)

The sleeves with the same exact cover as inside I throw away... If they're different somehow, I keep them.

Use a hair dryer on high heat on the stickers for a few minutes first, then peel them off. It actually helps a lot.

I keep them all with their respective discs. Only weird cases like the T2 Ultimate Edition metal case get put to the side, but I still keep those too.

I like them too, they are often shiny and the actually case isnt. I do hate how they wear on their edges though. I have always been a fan of slip cases, though I hate how they have to have that cut out portion now for the sku. I think it ruins them

I keep them as well since they are slightly protective and usually brighter. Although I agree with sub780lime in that it bothers me when they cut some of it out to have the barcode visible through the opening.

I hate that crap too. I always wonder if the company is extremely annoying and uses adhesive that just doesnt come off well...or if a variety of factors, such has being in a hot place too long, causes this to happen on some unlucky purchases. My assumption is its a little bit of both.
