I would like to point out to Taxi and Clortho that I had absolutely nothing to do with this post.

It's not a personal attack, it's just that I was once suspended from this forum for making fun of someone about their seemingly arbitrary tastes and someone else thought the joke was also funny and pretended to be a poster known as "Drop Dead Fred Fan." I was accused of being that person (I had pretended to be "Leonard Part 6 Fan"), which I was not.

I have no problem with you liking this film, I was simply using another film that I do not think has any merit (Leonard Part 6) to illustrate a point about someone else who decided over and over to state his contradictory views without ever justifying them and then when an opportunity arises, dump on someone's else favorites without ever saying why.

I personally object to unjustified opinions, my feeling is that they seem like an immense waste of time. Why not explain why you feel one way or the other and so other people can understand your viewpoint, rather than simply stating something and never examining it?

Don't you think you're overreacting just a bit? Did anybody say anything about this to you Disco Stu?

Now you've totally derailed this post.

Sorry, I thought he was implying he was going to stop posting because he assumed I had an objection to Drop Dead Fred, and I didn't want him to do that.

Please return to the search for info on Drop Dead Fred.

I saw this movie a couple of times when I was about 6-8 years old.
I don't remember it being one of my favorites as a child, but I remembered it in a good way nontheless.
About a year ago though, my sister rented it because she had also not seen it in a while. I gave it a watch, and good god, how I wish I had just left it in the back of my head crammed with memories of enjoying booger humor, saying the word "pee pee" and other, now very un-amusing things.

Now, back to the topic (sorry): I have never heard of any dvd release. I don't even think that the studio that made it still exists, but it is bound to be owned by someone.
DVD FOREVER: You say this film has a special place in your heart, but if that is because you have not seen it in a long while, I recommend leaving it that way. But of course, if you have seen it recently, and still enjoy it, I say just buy the video. Nothing much will be gained by a widescreen transfer, or 5.1 surround for this film.... in my honest opinion.

I have seen this movie recently and it still has a special place in my heart. I already own the video and need the DVD, I don't buy VHS anymore.
