I have no problem with you liking this film, I was simply using another film that I do not think has any merit (Leonard Part 6) to illustrate a point about someone else who decided over and over to state his contradictory views without ever justifying them and then when an opportunity arises, dump on someone's else favorites without ever saying why. I personally object to unjustified opinions, my feeling is that they seem like an immense waste of time. Why not explain why you feel one way or the other and so other people can understand your viewpoint, rather than simply stating something and never examining it? ------------------ Arrogance is bliss [This message has been edited by Disco Stu (edited 07-09-2001).] |

I saw this movie a couple of times when I was about 6-8 years old.
I don't remember it being one of my favorites as a child, but I remembered it in a good way nontheless. About a year ago though, my sister rented it because she had also not seen it in a while. I gave it a watch, and good god, how I wish I had just left it in the back of my head crammed with memories of enjoying booger humor, saying the word "pee pee" and other, now very un-amusing things. Now, back to the topic (sorry): I have never heard of any dvd release. I don't even think that the studio that made it still exists, but it is bound to be owned by someone. DVD FOREVER: You say this film has a special place in your heart, but if that is because you have not seen it in a long while, I recommend leaving it that way. But of course, if you have seen it recently, and still enjoy it, I say just buy the video. Nothing much will be gained by a widescreen transfer, or 5.1 surround for this film.... in my honest opinion. |
