Anyone else excited about French Connection?

You can read the press release here. This is one of my holy grails, and I'm very excited. (Don't care about the sequel, so I'll just be getting the five-star version.) The commentary and the deleted scenes have got me quite impatient. September can't come fast enough for me. It's going to be a great fall.

Haven't seen this flick, a little bit before my times. I look forward to seeing this when it is released on DVD, same with Citizen Kane (haven't seen either). I must really be missing out.

That's gonna be a big day. French Connection, Snow White, Simpsons's Season 1, Citizen Kane. Might have to pass on the Simpsons. Just too much. And Godfather and Phantom Menace just around the corner. Gotta leave some brass in pocket for those.

Wh..huh? Hey hey, those are all being released on the same day?? I didn't realize. It's like a second Christmas, it is!

Actually, all I know for sure that I would be purchasing that day are Simpsons, and Citizen Kane. But who knows, maybe I'll enjoy French Connection enough after checking it out on vhs before that special day.

Not a fan of French Connection.

For me, Christmas is coming on Sept 18 when we get American Werewolf in London, Basic Instinct, Total Recall, Blood Simple, Cape Fear, and, oh yeah, Survivor 2: Too Hot for TV. :-)

You also forgot Heathers on the 25th. And The Terminator and The Ruling Class the week after that. Face it, it's going to be an expensive autumn.

The French Connection is one of my favorite movies of all time. I'm a HUGE fan of Gene Hackman and Roy Scheider. Personally, I'm disappointed that Hackman and Scheider weren't teamed up again because I thought they had a great chemistry as a team.
