Goonies/Hey Cliff

What sort of video quality are the Goonies deleted scenes in?

They're actually presented in finished form with music. They are at a non-anamorphic aspect ratio of about 2:1 and look really good. These are probably the same stuff used for the extended cuts of the film that occasionally air on TV.

Cool. I love when deleted scenes are done up nicely (when possible).

I hate it when deleted scenes are not put back in the film via seemless or extended branching.

Thats nice. Personnally I could care less as long as they are on the disc. They are usually deleted for a reason! Because they don't add anything and may make the movie suck.

Sorry Mark, but I agree with .. "SolidSnakeASS." In addition to the fact that the director intended for them to be left out (unless the film was unfortunately shortened by studio stuffed shirts), lots of times those scenes can have very deteriorated prints--or even come off of video, eg Escape from New York--and have unfinished sound, etc.

Although a part of me wonders what they'd be like in context. Ahhhh. Contradictions.

On the other hand, though, it never hurts to have a choice.

You don't have to watch them during the movie, now do you?

And look at Die Hard...it has an extended cut and it's deleted scene isn't even in finished form.

"Give us the choice" is my vote. (But I don't reallt care either way, just playing devil's advocate here)
