Any word on a 28 Days Later SE?

For some reason or another, I never bothered to pick this one up on DVD. With the sequel in the works, does anybody know of any plans for some kind of special edition? How is the current one? Should I get it or hold off? (Yeah, I did see it, and I enjoyed it quite a bit.)

The current disc is jam-packed (commentary, multiple alternate endings, delteted scenes), and if we were gonna get a new version, they would have announced it well in advance of the forthcoming sequel. Just buy the current disc (which should be dirt-cheap by now).

The cover art for the rerelease was amazing. I love it. When was it confirmed that this edition was canned? I've been thinking of buying the first addition for a couple weeks but haven't gotten around to it and I don't want to if that is going to, in fact, come out.

I was wondering the same thing.

I have seen the current version for pretty cheap so if I see it again, I will most likely pick it up... mostly to re-aquaint myself with it before I see the sequel.

No one ever said it was cancelled, but I can't find a single etailer stocking it.

Did you say you thought it was canned? Or were you just saying that because you can't find any website selling it pre-order?

Considering that the sequel comes out in a few short weeks, I think that any re-release of 28 Days Later won't be seen until the sequel hits dvd.

I really thought they'd do the shameless re-release before the sequal comes out bit. Oh well, I guess not. I'll just have to rent it before it comes out and watch it again.

I'll probably get that one, considering that I don't have the previous one yet.

I'm not seeing it in the ads. Perhaps I'll go down to Best Buy on Tuesday to have a look just in case. I also didn't see it on Amazon.

I'm hoping when I go to Best Buy tomorrow they have it. I don't see it any of ads or on any sites either. So it doesn't look promising.

Indeed. I checked out Amazon as well, and they're not even listing it. Oh well, perhaps I'll pick up the old version if I'm going to bother making the trip out there.

I'm not able to find this anywhere so I'm going to take a wild guess and say it's not out.

I'd suggest just sticking with the edition thats out now. i'm pretty sure you can get it cheap somewhere (probably like the 7.50 rack). I rewatched the disc last week and felt that the materials were more then sufficient, so i'm gonna stick with the edition now

Yeah, I wound up getting the original version on Amazon. Looked good to me. Cool cover too.
