Hitchcock DVD help

Can someone please make sense of all these different releases and box sets of the Hitchcock DVDs?

I've seen single discs, 3-pack box sets, 7-pack box sets, and at least 4 or 5 different older box sets. It seems as though the 3-packs in the black boxes and the 7-pack in the black box are the newest releases. Is there an advantage to the 7-pack versus buying the two 3-packs and then getting a single disc? ARGH! I just want the best versions of the films currently available.

Thanks!!!

The version of each title is the same, it's only the other titles they're packaged with that has changed.

Yeah, I bought most of them seperately as they were released, so my Vertigo has the orange movie poster-type cover (which I prefer, actually), but the contents are the same.
