From some site called The Man Room:

Quote:
Both versions will be presented in widescreen 2.4:1 1080p and Dolby TrueHD audio. In lieu of the ongoing issues stabilizing BD-J interactivity on Blu-ray Disc, Warner has opted to not hold back on the HDVD and include "...over 90 minutes of thrilling extras. Watch the entire film with Blue Screen Picture-in-Picture (PIP) functionality and special commentary by Zack Snyder. Also includes an exclusive HD strategy game Vengeance & Valor," while the Blu-ray Disc will include,"...90 minutes of thrilling extras including featurettes on the battle scenes, special effects, and characters" as well as a feature-length commentary with Director Zack Snyder, Writer Kurt Johnstad and Director of Photography Larry Fong in lieu of the PIP functionality found on the HD DVD.

'300' on Combo Format HD DVD will carry an SRP of $39.99, while the Blu-ray Disc will come in at $34.99.
So, will the HD-DVD have this PIP thing AND all the features on the 2 Disc standard DVD version?

And... don't you think there'll be inevitably be a Director's Cut/SE later on down the road? (Not that I care, I loved this movie enough to double-dip)

lol.

Great cover art. Glad to see they don't have all that text like the movie posters did. A nice clean image is all we need. Definately getting the two disc

Bad cover art. Won't be buying or renting this. Saw it in theaters and once was more than enough.

Saw it last week. I'd like to see what a good copy of it looks like. No it was not my copy of it!

I agree. I wanted to get one of the theatrical posters, but I hated all the type on it "PREPARE FOR GLORY!". It just never fit with the feel of the artwork.

Why is the sky splattering in that picture above?

My favorite film of the year so far so I'll be all over the special edition.

I was think about this movie the other day and wanting to watch it. Will be picking up the 2 disc most likely. Will the HDDVD be dual? Anyone know?

Has the street date been changed? Amazon doesn't list a date and I could have sworn it was up there previously.

Oh, those sets look pretty nice. I like the helmet in the BB set.

Damn. I wish the HD-DVD had an option like that.

Yeah you and me both. You could always buy the set and not open your 2-disc case and return to the store the next day in exchange of the HD-DVD version. If you have to pay a bit more i guess its ok as the rest of the cool stuff from the packaging is still yours to enjoy

Man, that is some nice stuff, but I don't know where the heck I'd put it (the Best Buy version, that is). I'm still going to just get the HD version - I actually like how they take up so much less space.
