Where to buy Japanese R2 and R3?

Can anyone tell me of some sites where I can order Japanese R2 and/or R3 discs from?

I live in the UK, and regularly import R1 discs from the states - but have never seen anywhere to get the above from.

www.sazuma.com, they are expensive, but they have terrific selection. Check out the SE of Battle Royale (no subs though).

I'm going to assume that by your question you're asking for Japanese movies on R2 or R3 DVD, since a Japanese R3 DVD of a US movie is kind of an oxymoron. (However, if you ARE talking about getting Japanese DVDs of US movies, just get it from CD Japan, mentioned below.) Based on this, I have the following recommendations:

From Japan:
CD Japan (www.cdjapan.co.jp) - Excellent selection and service, highly recommended
AMOtokyo (www.amotokyo.com) - limited selection, excellent service; mostly anime

Be aware that DVDs sold in Japan are VERY expensive - in some cases 2 to 3 times the price of US discs! However, the quality is also much higher than US discs...

From Hong Kong:
HiVi Zone (www.hivizone.com) - good service; they carry mostly Hong Kong movies though, but also a few Japanese movies such as Kurosawa, Lone Wolf & Cub series, etc.

R3 discs are usually very cheap - sometimes as low as $5 for a DVD. However, the quality is also very often pretty lousy, to the point of being unwatchable.

US Imports:
YesAsia (www.yesasia.com, previously www.asiacd.com) - good selection, good service. They sell mostly R3 stuff, a bit more expensive than HiVi, but maybe you'll feel more comfortable ordering from the US if that's what you're used to. (Not that there is any reason to worry, in my experience at least.)

EDIT: Forgot to mention this: Be careful ordering from Sazuma; if they don't have your titles in stock you may end up waiting for months... quite literally.

To clarify on the regions - my meaning was more general. I wanted to know whereabouts I might buy any region3 disc. And also where I could get any Japanese (non-european) region2 disc from.

Ah, I see!

Well, CD Japan carry both domestic and international/US movies, so they're a safe bet if you want to order something from Japan.

As for R3, HiViZone carry some non-domestic movies; apart from that store, I don't know. (I wouldn't buy R3s of non-domestic movies anyhoo; R1 quality is better and cheap too...)
